Quick Start Guide
This guide will walk you through creating your first Museformer project in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Create an Account
Museformer is local first, and supports all editor features without an account. To share your projects on the website, you can create a free account using your email or Google account.
Step 2: Create a New Project
- Click the "Open the Editor" button on the homepage
- Paste a YouTube URL to create your analysis from
- Click "Youtube URL"
Step 3: Add Your First Group
Groups are the building blocks of your analysis. Each group represents a section of the music, such as a theme, exposition, or chorus.
You can create groups by splitting the timeline at the current playhead position. You can also click the scissors icon located in the quick action panel.
⌨️Shortcuts
Shortcuts can greatly speed up your workflow inside Museformer. Press
space to play/pause and s to quickly add a new group at the current playhead position.Step 4: Save and Share
Your project auto-saves as you work. When you're ready to share, go to File > Export > Share. This generates a sharable link to your project.
