Understanding the interface

Editor Overview

The Museformer editor is divided into several key areas, each designed to help you efficiently analyze and visualize musical form.

The Timeline

The timeline is the heart of the editor. It displays your groups as colored blocks along a horizontal axis representing time. You can zoom in and out, scroll through the piece, and drag groups to reposition them.

The Video Panel

When you've linked a YouTube video, it appears in the video panel. The video playback is synced with the timeline, so you can see exactly where you are in the music as you work.

The Properties Panel

Select any group to see its properties in the side panel. Here you can edit the group name, adjust timing, change colors, and add notes.
